A remake of one of England’s classic legends, Robin Hood seems to have disappointed its fans a bit too much. With a 12% rating on the Tomatometer and a 6.9/10 on IMDb, it can be safely concluded that the movie was a big miss. I guess we can’t blame the fans for all the things they have to say.

The movie makes an attempt to tackle contemporary concerns but miserably fails to do so. Fans were very fast to point that out.

Many claimed that this remake was legitimately funny. The question, however, is, was that the intention? Clearly not. Taking an old formula and trying to make something out of it did not work out for director Otto Bathurst.

The disappointment is understandable; fans expected a lot from this remake. Unfortunately, they forgot not everyone can be as good as Disney when it comes to reinventing the classics.

However, there are a few viewers out there who managed to see the good in the movie, despite all the criticism.

Some even managed to critically evaluate the good and the bad before spewing out any judgments.

All in all, the movie seems to have underperformed and fans have not held back in expressing their disappointment. The ending of the movie suggested a sequel; maybe after reading the reviews, Otto may change his mind.
